Welcome to the Online Microfinance Information Portal for the Lao PDR This website provides information on the microfinance sector in the Lao PDR; including relevant publications, profiles and links to practitioners, information on the policy and regulatory environment and a general microfinance sector summary.
This site is designed to be a resource for microfinance practitioners and other stakeholders in the Lao PDR (and beyond). It aims to make the information and knowledge from these stakeholders available and accessible to potential donors, investors and the wider microfinance community. The information available in this site is maintained and updated by the staff of the Microfinance Capacity Building and Research (MCBR) Project, a four-year project developed in cooperation with the National Economic Research Institute (NERI) of the Committee of Planning and Investment (CPI) in the Lao PDR.
